HP Elite 800 G9 Mini Desktop

The HP Elite 800 G9 is a new Mini desktop computer built around an Intel Core i7-14700 processor with 20 cores and a 5.4GHz turbo frequency. It ships with Windows 11 Pro, 16GB of DDR5 memory at 4800MHz, and a 1TB NVMe SSD. A wired keyboard and mouse are included; a monitor is not.

16GB DDR5 and 1TB NVMe capacity

The 16GB DDR5 configuration handles everyday multitasking, office suites, and light creative workloads without paging. The board supports up to 64GB, so headroom exists for memory-heavy applications. The 1TB NVMe drive provides fast boot and load times; users storing large media libraries or virtual machines will eventually need secondary storage.

Integrated graphics and Gigabit Ethernet limits

Intel UHD Graphics drives one HDMI and two DisplayPort outputs for multi-monitor productivity, but lacks discrete 3D performance for gaming or GPU compute. Gigabit Ethernet and Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) deliver solid wired and wireless throughput for typical office traffic; sustained multi-gigabit transfers or specialised network offloads exceed the interface capability.

Questions about this item

Will the Elite 800 G9's Gigabit Ethernet port work with my older Cat 5e patch cables?

Yes, the Gigabit Ethernet port is backward compatible with Cat 5e cabling, though maximum throughput will be limited to the cable's rated speed.

How can I verify the i7-14700 is reaching its 5.4GHz turbo frequency under load?

Open Task Manager's Performance tab or use a monitoring utility; the CPU clock should show speeds up to 5.4GHz during demanding single-threaded workloads.

Does the box include a display cable for the HDMI or DisplayPort outputs?

The system ships with a wired keyboard and mouse; a monitor and any video cable must be purchased separately.
