HP Elite 800 G9 Mini Desktop

This HP Elite 800 G9 Mini Desktop PC uses an Intel Core i7-14700 processor with 20 cores and a 5.4GHz turbo frequency. It ships with 32GB of DDR5 memory at 4800MHz and a 2TB NVMe SSD. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed, making it ready for professional office tasks and home use. The compact mini form factor includes a wired keyboard and mouse.

Sustained workload behaviour

The 120W power supply supports the processor’s 2.1GHz base frequency across all cores during extended sessions. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics handles typical productivity and video playback without a discrete card. The system supports up to 64GB of DDR5 memory for heavier multitasking. MIL-STD 810 testing indicates durability for continuous operation in standard environments.

Connectivity and expansion limits

Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) provides wireless access with improved range in crowded areas. Gigabit Ethernet offers a wired link at 1Gbps. Video output uses one HDMI and two DisplayPort connectors for up to three displays. Internal expansion is limited by the mini chassis; the NVMe slot is occupied by the 2TB drive.

Questions about this item

How loud or hot does the 120W power supply get when the i7-14700 runs at 5.4GHz all day?

The 120W supply is sized for the 20-core i7-14700 with a 5.4GHz turbo; under sustained load the fan spins up but stays within HP's thermal limits for the Mini chassis.

Which display cables or adapters do I need to connect my monitors to the HDMI and two DisplayPort outputs?

The system provides one HDMI and two DisplayPort video ports; use matching cables or active adapters for DVI, VGA or USB-C monitors.

Can I keep using my current DDR5-4800 modules if I expand the memory to the 64GB maximum?

Yes, the board supports up to 64GB of DDR5-4800; add identical sticks to the two slots for best stability.
