AI business laptop

The HP EliteBook 6 G2q is a 14-inch Windows 11 Pro laptop built around the Snapdragon X2 Plus processor with 10 cores running up to 4.04 GHz. It ships with 32 GB of LPDDR5x-9600 MT/s memory and a 512 GB solid-state drive. Integrated Qualcomm Adreno graphics drive a WUXGA IPS display at 1920 x 1200 with 300 nits brightness and 62.5% sRGB coverage.

Mobile professionals needing local AI

This configuration suits users who want on-device AI acceleration, long battery life from the 56 Whr cell, and Wi-Fi 7 connectivity in a 3.82 lb chassis. Buyers who need discrete graphics performance, higher colour gamut coverage, or user-replaceable memory should consider other form factors.

Thin-and-light workstation companion

The laptop measures 12.39 x 8.74 inches with a tapered profile from 0.42 to 0.78 inches, leaving room in a compact bag for accessories. Dual microphones with AI noise reduction, quad stereo speakers tuned by Poly Studio, and a 5 MP IR camera handle conferencing without extra peripherals. The 3-cell battery and integrated graphics reduce the need for a bulky power adapter during daily travel.

Questions about this item

What do I need to have for the Qualcomm FastConnect C7700 Wi-Fi 7 wireless card to work at its best?

A Wi-Fi 7 compatible router or access point is required to use the C7700's full capability; it will still connect to older Wi-Fi networks at their supported speeds.

Will the Snapdragon X2 Plus with its 10 cores and 4.04 GHz boost handle my existing USB-C dock and monitors?

Yes, the USB-C ports support video and data, so your current dock and external displays will work as long as they use standard USB-C or DisplayPort Alt Mode.

How can I verify the 5 MP IR AI camera and IR sensors are functioning for Windows Hello after setup?

Open Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options, choose Face recognition (Windows Hello), and follow the enrolment steps; a successful enrolment confirms the IR camera is working.
