Built for mobile professionals

The EliteBook 8 G1i is a 14-inch business laptop with an Intel Core Ultra 7 255U processor, 32 GB DDR5-5600 memory and a 512 GB NVMe SSD. Integrated Intel Graphics share system memory and drive a 1920 x 1200 IPS anti-glare panel rated at 300 nits and 62.5 % sRGB. Windows 11 Pro and Wi-Fi 6E with Bluetooth 5.3 complete the specification.

Suits single-device workers.

This configuration fits professionals who need one capable machine for office applications, video calls and secure browsing on the move. The single 32 GB memory module leaves no empty slot for simple capacity expansion, and integrated graphics limit 3D or heavy rendering workloads. Buyers who need discrete GPU performance, additional storage bays or a built-in Ethernet port should consider other form factors.

32 GB DDR5-5600 in one slot decides upgrade path

The memory subsystem uses a single 32 GB DDR5-5600 module, so any future increase requires replacing the stick rather than adding a second. This constraint determines whether the laptop can grow with your workload or must be specified correctly at purchase.

Questions about this item

Does the 14.0" chassis have an accessible M.2 slot so I can add a second NVMe drive?

The 512 GB PCIe NVMe Value SSD occupies the single M.2 slot; there is no second slot for expansion.

After opening the base cover, which screw secures the M.2 2280 drive and what torque should I use?

One M2×3 mm Phillips screw holds the drive; tighten to 0.3 Nm to avoid stripping the standoff.

When the 512 GB PCIe NVMe Value SSD wears out, what exact replacement part do I order?

Order any M.2 2280 PCIe NVMe SSD; the platform supports Gen 4 speeds and 25 mm max length.
