14-inch Copilot+ notebook for mobile professionals

The EliteBook 8 G2a combines a 14.0-inch display with an AMD Ryzen AI 7 450 processor and 32 GB of memory. Integrated Radeon 860M graphics handle everyday visual tasks. Windows 11 Pro and 5G connectivity support work away from a desk. A single HDMI port allows external display output.

Sustained workloads on the Ryzen AI 7 450 with NPU

The processor reaches a 5.10 GHz turbo frequency for burst performance. The dedicated Ryzen AI neural processing unit offloads AI-enhanced features from the main cores. Integrated graphics share system memory, so extended 3D or compute loads are limited by thermal headroom and the 32 GB capacity. Fan behaviour will throttle clocks before temperatures exceed safe limits.

Practical limits of the integrated graphics

Radeon 860M performance suits office applications, video playback and light creative work; it cannot drive modern titles at high settings. The 5G modem also supports LTE, HSPA+, DC-HSPA+ and UMTS fallback where 5G coverage is absent. Wi-Fi 7 provides high-throughput local wireless when a 5G signal is weak or unavailable.

Questions about this item

How much power does the Ryzen AI 7 450 draw when the EliteBook 8 G2a runs all day?

The processor reaches a turbo frequency of 5.10 GHz, and the integrated Radeon 860M graphics share the same thermal envelope, so sustained workloads stay within the laptop's standard cooling design.

What must I already own to use the 5G connection on the EliteBook 8 G2a?

An active 5G data plan and a compatible nano-SIM or eSIM profile from your carrier are required for the built-in modem to connect.

Will my older HDMI monitor work with the single HDMI port on this EliteBook 8 G2a?

Yes, the HDMI output supports standard HDMI signals, so any monitor or projector with an HDMI input will display the Windows 11 Pro desktop without adapters.
