Compact 14-inch business laptop

The HP EliteBook 8 G2aa is a 14.0" WUXGA touch laptop built for mobile professionals who need local AI acceleration and long battery life. It runs Windows 11 Pro on an AMD Ryzen AI 7 450 processor with 8 cores and a 5.1 GHz max boost clock. Integrated AMD Radeon 860M graphics drive the 300-nit anti-glare IPS panel.

Suits travellers and meeting-heavy roles

Buyers who want a light 3.19 lb chassis, a 5 MP IR camera with Poly Studio audio, and Wi-Fi 7 MT7925 connectivity will fit this device. Workers who need discrete graphics, a larger screen, or user-replaceable memory should look at something else.

32 GB soldered DDR5-5600 memory

The system ships with a single 32 GB DDR5-5600 MT/s module and no empty SO-DIMM slot, fixing total capacity at 32 GB. This decides whether the laptop can handle your largest datasets and virtual machines without paging.

Questions about this item

How much fan noise and heat should I expect from the Ryzen AI 7 450 when this EliteBook runs all day?

The 8-core Ryzen AI 7 450 boosts to 5.1 GHz inside a 0.46–0.61 in aluminium chassis with a 68 Whr battery; typical office workloads stay quiet, while sustained AI or graphics tasks will spin the fans audibly and warm the rear hinge area.

What must I already own to use the 32 GB DDR5-5600 memory installed in this laptop?

The 32 GB DDR5-5600 module is soldered, so no extra memory purchase or installation is required; the system is ready to run Windows 11 Pro and local AI workloads immediately.

Will the integrated Radeon 860M graphics drive my older 1080p monitor over USB-C without a discrete GPU?

Yes, the Radeon 860M supports modern display outputs over USB-C and can drive a 1920 × 1200 or 1080p external screen for everyday work and video playback.
