Built for Mobile Professionals

The HP EliteBook 8 G2i is a 14-inch business laptop designed for frequent travellers and office workers who need a lightweight, touch-enabled device running Windows 11 Pro. Its Glacier Silver aluminium chassis weighs 3.08 lb and measures 0.46 in at the front, making it easy to carry between meetings or on flights. The integrated Intel Graphics and 16 GB DDR5-5600 memory handle everyday productivity, video calls and light creative tasks without a discrete GPU.

Suited for Secure Collaboration

This configuration suits professionals who value AI-enhanced conferencing, hardware-enforced security and long battery life in a compact form factor. The 5 MP IR camera with Poly Camera Pro keeps users framed, while dual stereo speakers and AI noise-reduction microphones deliver clear audio. Buyers who need a dedicated graphics card for 3D rendering, high-refresh-rate gaming or multi-monitor 4K workloads should look at a workstation-class machine instead.

Core Ultra 5 335 Decides Fit

The Intel Core Ultra 5 335 processor reaches 4.6 GHz with four cores and eight threads, providing the performance ceiling for this ultraportable. If your daily workloads stay within office suites, browser-based apps and video conferencing, this CPU is sufficient. If you regularly compile large codebases, edit 4K video or run local AI models, the four-core design will become the bottleneck.

Questions about this item

Does the laptop require a separate memory purchase since the 16 GB DDR5-5600 MT/s is already installed?

The 16 GB DDR5-5600 MT/s module is factory-installed in a single slot, so no additional memory is needed for it to operate.

Can I connect an external 1920 x 1200 monitor to match the built-in WUXGA touch panel?

Yes, the integrated Intel Graphics can drive an external display at 1920 x 1200 alongside the internal 14" WUXGA touch screen.

How can I confirm the 5 MP IR AI camera is functioning after Windows 11 Pro setup?

Open the Camera app or Windows Hello settings; the IR sensor will activate for facial recognition and the 5 MP sensor will show a live preview.
