16-inch EliteBook with Core Ultra 5

The HP EliteBook 8 G2i is a 16-inch business laptop built around an Intel Core Ultra 5 325 processor. It ships with 32 GB of memory and a 512 GB SSD running Windows 11 Pro. The WUXGA IPS panel delivers 1920 x 1200 resolution at 300 nits brightness with 45% NTSC colour coverage.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

This configuration suits professionals who need a large non-touch display, integrated AI acceleration via the NPU and Wi-Fi 7 connectivity in a 3.73 lb chassis. It is not for buyers who require a dedicated graphics card, a touchscreen, higher colour gamut coverage or more than 512 GB of internal storage.

Deciding specification: 32 GB soldered memory

The 32 GB of memory is the single specification that determines suitability. It provides ample capacity for heavy multitasking and local AI workloads without the possibility of future upgrades. If your workflow demands expandable RAM, this unit will not meet that need.
