Business-Ready Touch Laptop

The HP EliteBook 840 G11 combines a 14-inch FHD+ touchscreen with an Intel Core Ultra 7 165H processor for professional workloads. It ships with Windows 11 Pro, 32GB DDR5 memory and a 2TB SSD to handle demanding business applications.

Thermals Noise Power

Integrated Intel Graphics and the Ultra 7 165H chip run at up to 4.80GHz turbo within a slim chassis designed for office environments. The 60Hz display and efficient DDR5 memory help keep heat and fan noise low during typical productivity tasks.

Deciding Specification

The 32GB DDR5 configuration is soldered SODIMM and cannot be expanded beyond the factory capacity. Buyers who anticipate heavier multitasking or virtualization workloads should verify this limit meets their long-term requirements before purchase.

Questions about this item

How is the 2TB PCIe M.2 SSD installed, and what step do people get wrong?

The drive slides into the M.2 slot at an angle, then the retaining screw secures it; the common mistake is forgetting that screw, leaving the SSD loose and unrecognised by the BIOS.

What maintenance or replacement will the 32GB DDR5 SODIMM memory need later?

The modules are socketed, so a future upgrade means removing the bottom cover, releasing the side clips, and swapping in compatible DDR5 SODIMMs — no soldered memory to limit you.

What limit appears first on the Intel Core Ultra 7 165H under sustained heavy workloads?

The processor hits its 4.8 GHz turbo ceiling and thermal throttling kicks in, so clock speeds drop to stay within the cooling capacity of the 14-inch chassis.
