Questions about this item

How do I install the 256GB M.2 SATA SSD in the EliteBook 840 G3, and what step is often missed?

Remove the bottom cover, insert the M.2 SATA drive at 30 degrees into the keyed slot, then secure it with the single retention screw; the step often missed is pressing the drive fully flat before tightening the screw.

What maintenance or replacement will the 16GB DDR4 memory and the internal battery need later?

The DDR4 memory is soldered and cannot be upgraded; the internal battery is user-replaceable after removing the bottom cover and disconnecting the cable.

At what point does the Intel HD Graphics 520 hit its limit during sustained 1080p workloads?

The shared system memory and thermal envelope of the dual-core i5-6300U cause throttling first, reducing GPU clocks during extended 1080p rendering or multi-monitor use.
