Questions about this item

What operating system do I need to install on the EliteBook 840 G3 before it will boot?

The laptop ships with no operating system, so you must provide and install your own copy of Windows, Linux or another compatible OS before the machine can start up.

Will my existing DDR3 SO-DIMM modules work in the second memory slot of this EliteBook 840 G3?

Yes, the system uses DDR3 memory and has two slots; one is occupied by the factory 8 GB module, so a matching DDR3 SO-DIMM can be added in the free slot up to the 32 GB maximum.

How can I verify the new 2 TB NVMe drive is recognised after I install an OS?

After installation, open the OS disk-management utility or BIOS; the drive should appear as a 2 TB NVMe device with the full capacity available for partitioning.
