14.0" FHD business laptop with 32 GB DDR3

The HP EliteBook 840 G3 is a 14.0" Full HD laptop built around an Intel Core i5-6300U processor running at 2.40 GHz with a 3.00 GHz turbo frequency. It comes equipped with 32 GB of DDR3 memory and a new 1 TB NVMe SSD. Intel HD Graphics 520 handles the display output on the non-touch 1920 x 1080 panel. The unit ships without an operating system.

Suited for legacy workflows; not for modern gaming

This machine suits users who need a lightweight 14" chassis with maximum factory-supported memory and fast NVMe storage for office applications, virtual machines or legacy software that still relies on DDR3 platforms. Buyers who require a pre-installed Windows licence, a dedicated graphics processor, a touchscreen or newer memory standards should look elsewhere.

32 GB DDR3 at the 32 GB ceiling

The dual-core i5-6300U supports a maximum of 32 GB of memory and this unit already populates both slots to that limit. No further RAM upgrades are possible, so the configuration is fixed at 32 GB DDR3 for the life of the device.
