Ultra-Light Business Laptop

The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon 6th Gen is a 14.0 inch ultraportable notebook built for professionals who prioritise mobility. It weighs 1.13 kg and measures 15.95 mm thin, making it easy to carry between meetings or on travel. The chassis houses a 14.0 inch FHD IPS anti-glare display with a 1920 x 1080 resolution and a 720p HD camera. Windows 10 Pro 64-bit comes pre-installed.

Mobile Workers vs Fixed Desks

This laptop suits executives, consultants and frequent flyers who need a durable, light machine with a backlit keyboard and fingerprint reader for secure login. The soldered 16GB LPDDR3 memory cannot be upgraded, so buyers who anticipate needing more RAM should look at a model with slots. The integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 handles office apps and video playback but is not intended for 3D rendering or modern gaming workloads.

Soldered 16GB LPDDR3 Memory

The single specification that decides fit is the 16GB 2133MHz LPDDR3 memory soldered directly to the system board, which makes future capacity increases impossible. If your workflow already fits within 16GB, the fast solid-state drive and efficient Core i7-8650U processor deliver responsive performance for typical business tasks. Users who run virtual machines, large datasets or memory-hungry creative suites must choose a different system with expandable RAM.
