Business laptop without an operating system

The HP EliteBook 840 G3 is a 14.0-inch business laptop equipped with an Intel Core i5-6300U processor running at 2.40 GHz with a 3.00 GHz turbo frequency. It includes 32 GB of DDR3 memory and a new 2 TB SATA SSD. The device ships without an operating system so the buyer must supply and install their own Windows or Linux environment.

Simple storage upgrade path

The 2 TB drive uses a standard 2.5-inch SATA form factor making replacement straightforward with basic tools. Memory is already at the 32 GB maximum supported by the two slots so no further RAM expansion is possible. Installing an operating system is the main step that can go wrong if drivers for the Intel HD Graphics 520 are not prepared in advance.

1366 x 768 HD non-touch display

The screen resolution is 1366 by 768 pixels on a non-touch HD panel. This specification determines whether the visual workspace suits your applications and whether the integrated graphics 520 can drive external monitors at the required quality. Buyers who need a higher pixel density or touch input should consider other models.
