Questions about this item

Does the 2.5" SATA SSD run at the SATA III 6 Gb/s limit in this EliteBook 840 G3?

The 240 GB drive uses a 2.5" SATA connection; the platform supports the SATA III 6 Gb/s standard, so the SSD operates at that interface ceiling.

What physical drive bay and memory slots are inside the 14.0" chassis?

One 2.5" SATA bay for the 240 GB SSD and two DDR3 slots holding 16 GB, expandable to 32 GB total.

How do I install Windows 10 Pro 64-bit on the new SSD, and what step is often missed?

Boot the installer from USB, choose the 240 GB SATA drive, and remember to enable UEFI mode in BIOS so the 64-bit OS installs correctly.
