14-inch business laptop

The HP EliteBook 840 G3 is a 14.0-inch business laptop powered by an Intel Core i7-6600U dual-core processor. It runs at a base frequency of 2.60 GHz and can reach a turbo frequency of 3.40 GHz. The system includes 8GB of DDR3 memory and a new 500GB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD. No operating system is installed.

Upgrade from dual-core HDD systems

This configuration replaces older dual-core laptops that rely on mechanical hard drives and lower-resolution panels. The jump is worth it when faster boot times, quicker application loading and a lighter chassis matter for mobile work. The M.2 NVMe storage and 1366 x 768 HD display deliver a noticeable responsiveness improvement over previous HDD-based platforms.

Sustained workload behaviour

Under sustained load the Intel HD Graphics 520 handles typical office tasks and video playback without thermal throttling. The dual-core processor maintains steady clocks during extended document editing, web browsing and video conferencing sessions. Memory can be expanded to 32 GB across two slots for heavier multitasking workloads.
