Refurbished EliteBook 840 G3 for business users

This refurbished HP EliteBook 840 G3 is built for professionals who need a reliable 14.0" Windows 10 Pro machine. It ships with an Intel Core i7-6600U dual-core processor, 8GB of memory and a 512GB SSD. The non-touch display keeps the focus on productivity. Buyers who want a built-in webcam or a touchscreen should look elsewhere.

Thermals and noise in daily office work

The ultra-low-voltage i7-6600U runs cool during typical document, browser and video tasks, so fan noise stays low. Power draw remains modest, giving solid battery life for a full workday. Heavy multi-core loads will spin the fan higher and drain the battery faster.

A-Grade chassis with essential ports

The A-Grade refurbished chassis shows minimal wear and meets business durability standards. Internal speakers handle calls and media without external gear. The 4 to 4.9 lbs weight makes it easy to carry between meetings. No optical drive keeps the profile thin.

Questions about this item

How do I install the Windows 10 Pro 64-Bit operating system on the HP EliteBook 840 G3?

Boot from a Windows 10 Pro 64-Bit installation USB, follow the on-screen prompts to select the 512GB SSD, and complete the setup; the product key is embedded in the firmware.

What maintenance will the 512GB SSD in this EliteBook 840 G3 need later?

The 512GB SSD has no moving parts and requires no scheduled maintenance; keep at least 10% free space and run Windows Optimize Drives occasionally to sustain performance.

What limit appears first on the Intel Core i7-6600U during sustained workloads?

The dual-core processor will hit its thermal ceiling before other components, causing clock-speed throttling to protect the chip.
