Ready-to-use business laptop

The HP EliteBook 840 G4 ships with Windows 10 Home on a 14.0-inch non-touch display running at 1366 x 768 resolution. An Intel Core i5-7300U dual-core processor at 2.6 GHz with 3 MB cache and 16 GB of system memory handles everyday office workloads. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 620 drives the panel and shares system memory. A 128 GB M.2 SATA SSD provides the boot volume.

Suited to core office tasks, not heavy media

This configuration fits users who need a lightweight 14-inch chassis with a full-size DisplayPort, VGA, Gigabit Ethernet and a USB 3.1 Type-C port for docking or peripherals. The SIM card reader supports mobile broadband where a slot is populated. Buyers who need a higher-resolution panel, a touchscreen, discrete graphics or more local storage should look elsewhere.

128 GB M.2 SATA SSD capacity

The single solid-state drive offers 128 GB formatted capacity on the SATA bus. If the operating system, applications and working files exceed this space, an external drive or cloud storage will be required. No larger drive or second storage slot is described in the specification.
