Business ultraportable with Kaby Lake i5

The HP EliteBook 840 G4 is a 14.0 inch business laptop powered by a dual-core Intel Core i5-7300U processor running at 2.60 GHz. It ships with 16 GB DDR4 memory and a 512 GB NVMe PCIe M.2 solid-state drive. Windows 10 Home is pre-installed on the silver chassis.

Professionals needing legacy ports

This unit suits office workers who rely on full-size VGA, DisplayPort, RJ-45 Ethernet and a USB 3.1 Type-C connection for docking or peripheral support. The integrated Intel HD Graphics 620 and 1366 x 768 non-touch panel are adequate for documents and video calls. Buyers who want higher pixel density, touchscreen input or discrete graphics for creative workloads should look at something else.

14.0 inch 1366 x 768 non-touch display

The screen size and resolution define the visual workspace and determine whether the laptop fits a given bag or docking station. A 1366 x 768 panel on a 14.0 inch diagonal yields a modest pixel density that is sufficient for standard productivity but limits multi-window clarity. Verify that this resolution meets your workflow requirements before purchase.
