Business ultraportable for mobile professionals

The HP EliteBook 840 G5 is a 14.0-inch laptop built for executives and mobile workers who need reliable Windows 11 Pro performance in a silver chassis. Its quad-core Intel Core i7-8650U processor runs at 1.9 GHz with 6 MB cache, backed by 32 GB DDR4 memory for smooth multitasking across office workloads and video calls.

Quad-core i7-8650U with 32 GB DDR4

The single specification that decides fit is the 1.9 GHz quad-core i7-8650U paired with 32 GB DDR4, delivering eight threads for concurrent business applications without slowdown. Buyers who need discrete graphics acceleration or higher sustained clock speeds for rendering or compilation should consider alternatives, as this platform relies on shared-memory integrated graphics.

512 GB NVMe PCIe SSD and 1080p display

The 512 GB NVMe PCIe M.2 drive provides fast boot and ample space for documents, local databases and offline files before external storage becomes necessary. The 1920 x 1080 LED-backlit panel handles standard productivity and conferencing comfortably, while the Thunderbolt 3 port adds high-speed peripheral headroom for docks or external GPUs when desk-bound.
