HP EliteBook 840 G5 14-inch laptop

This HP EliteBook 840 G5 is a 14-inch business laptop with a 1.80 GHz Intel Core i7 8th Gen processor, 16 GB of memory and a 512 GB SSD. It ships with Windows 10 Home and uses integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620. The unit is sold as new but carries a reconditioned cosmetic rating.

Compatibility checks before ordering

The display is a non-touch 14.0 inch FHD panel at 1920 x 1080 resolution. Only two USB ports are listed, so verify that your peripherals can connect without a hub. The SSD capacity may range between 480 GB and 512 GB, and expansion slot covers may be absent.

Suitable for office work, not for heavy graphics

This configuration suits users who need a portable Windows machine for documents, web apps and video calls. Buyers who want a dedicated graphics card, a touchscreen, more than two USB ports or a pristine cosmetic finish should look at something else.

Questions about this item

Does the HP EliteBook 840 G5 come with a power adapter and are any accessories missing?

The laptop ships with Windows 10 Home pre-installed on the 512 GB SSD and 16 GB of memory already fitted. Expansion-slot covers may be absent, so check whether you need a separate charger or docking station.

Should I choose the 512 GB SSD version or look for a smaller capacity?

This model is listed with a 512 GB drive whose usable space ranges from 480 GB to 512 GB. If you store large media libraries locally, the larger capacity avoids an early upgrade.

How does the 1.80 GHz Core i7 and UHD Graphics 620 perform in daily office work?

The 8th-generation Core i7 with Intel UHD Graphics 620 drives the 14.0-inch 1920 x 1080 FHD panel smoothly for documents, web browsing and video calls.
