Business laptop for mobile professionals

The HP EliteBook 840 G5 is a 14-inch business laptop built for professionals who need reliable performance on the move. It runs Windows 10 Pro on an Intel Core i5-8350U quad-core processor with 1.7 GHz base speed and 6 MB L3 cache. The system includes 16 GB DDR4 memory and a 1 TB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD for fast storage. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 drives the 1920 x 1080 FHD LED display.

Suits office workflows; not for heavy creative loads

This configuration suits office productivity, video calls and multi-tab browsing thanks to the quad-core CPU, 16 GB RAM and fast NVMe drive. The Thunderbolt 3 port adds dock flexibility for desk setups. Buyers who need dedicated graphics for 3D rendering, video editing or gaming should look at a different class of machine. The non-touch FHD screen and integrated GPU limit suitability for colour-critical design work.

1 TB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD decides fit

The single specification that determines whether this is the right part is the 1 TB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD. It provides high-capacity solid-state storage with PCIe speeds for quick boot, app launch and large file access. If your workflow demands more than 1 TB of internal flash storage or requires a second drive bay, this unit will not meet that need.
