Suits mobile professionals needing Thunderbolt 3

This configuration suits professionals who need a compact 14-inch chassis with a quad-core processor, 16 GB RAM and fast NVMe storage for office workloads and multi-monitor docking via the single Thunderbolt 3 port. Buyers who want a touchscreen, discrete graphics, larger storage capacity or a newer processor generation should look at other models. The Grade B condition means visible cosmetic blemishes such as scratches or shiny keys are present.

256 GB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD decides storage fit

The 256 GB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD is the single specification that decides whether this unit meets your storage requirement. It provides solid-state speed for the operating system and core applications but leaves limited room for large local files or multiple virtual machines. If your workflow demands more onboard capacity, this drive size will be the limiting factor.

Questions about this item

How does the 1.9 GHz base clock on the i7-8650U feel when running typical business workloads?

The quad-core 8650U runs at 1.9 GHz base with four cores and eight threads, so everyday office apps, web sessions and light multitasking stay responsive within its 15 W envelope.

What does the single Thunderbolt 3 port actually let me connect at full speed?

The USB-C Thunderbolt 3 port supports up to 40 Gbps for external GPUs, dual 4K displays or fast NVMe storage, and it also carries charging and standard USB 3.1 traffic.

Will the 256 GB M.2 drive fit a standard 2280 slot if I want to swap it later?

Yes, the factory SSD uses the common M.2 2280 form factor, so any 2280 NVMe drive can replace it without adapters.
