Business laptop for mobile professionals

The HP EliteBook 840 G5 is a 14.0 inch Windows 11 Pro laptop built around an Intel Core i7-8650U processor with four cores and eight threads. It ships with 32GB of DDR4 memory and a 2TB NVMe PCIe solid-state drive. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 handles everyday visual workloads on the 1920 x 1080 LED display.

Silver chassis with Thunderbolt 3 and Gigabit

The silver clamshell offers two USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports and a single USB Type-C Thunderbolt 3 connection for docks or high-speed peripherals. A full-size HDMI output and a Gigabit RJ-45 jack support external monitors and wired networks without adapters. An integrated webcam and Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 8265 complete the connectivity set.

15 watt processor keeps thermals modest

The 15 W quad-core CPU runs cool enough for sustained office tasks without aggressive fan noise in typical conditions. Shared system memory for graphics means no discrete GPU heat to manage. The included charger and battery support mobile work sessions away from a desk.
