HP EliteBook 840 G7 — 14 inch FHD laptop

The HP EliteBook 840 G7 is a 14.0 inch business laptop with a 1920 x 1080 FHD LED display. It runs on an Intel Core i7-10610U quad-core processor with 8 MB cache and a 15 W TDP. The system includes 16 GB DDR4 memory, a 1 TB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD, and Windows 11 Pro. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics handles video output.

Suits mobile professionals needing Thunderbolt 3

This configuration suits professionals who need Thunderbolt 3 connectivity and a full set of ports including HDMI, Gigabit Ethernet, and USB 3.1 Gen 1. The Wifi 6 and Bluetooth 5 support modern wireless workflows. Buyers who want a touchscreen display should look at something else. Users requiring a dedicated graphics card for heavy rendering or gaming will need a different machine.

1 TB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD determines storage speed

The single specification that decides whether this is the right part is the 1 TB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD. It provides fast boot and application load times for the Windows 11 Pro operating system. If your workflow demands more than 1 TB of high-speed internal storage, this laptop will not meet that need. The drive is not user-replaceable without opening the chassis.
