HP EliteBook 840 G8 14 laptop i7-1165G7 32GB 1TB

The HP EliteBook 840 G8 is a 14.0 inch business laptop powered by an Intel Core i7-1165G7 quad-core processor running at 2.80 GHz. It comes with 32GB DDR4 memory and a 1TB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD, running Windows 11 Pro. This unit is graded Grade B cosmetic condition, meaning it shows visible scratches or shiny keys but functions fully.

Thunderbolt 4 and USB 3.2 Gen 1 limits

The laptop provides two Thunderbolt 4 ports and two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports for peripherals and displays. Thunderbolt 4 supports high-speed data and video, while USB 3.2 Gen 1 tops out at 5 Gbps. Neither port can deliver more power or bandwidth than the standard defines, so very high-resolution external monitors or power-hungry docks may not run at their maximum.

Check your docking and display needs before ordering

Verify that your existing monitors, docks and cables match the available Thunderbolt 4 and HDMI outputs. If you rely on legacy USB-A devices, only two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports are present. The Grade B cosmetic rating means the chassis and keyboard will show wear; buyers wanting a pristine appearance should look elsewhere.
