14-inch business laptop

The HP EliteBook 840 G8 is a 14.0 inch business laptop running Windows 11 Pro. It uses a quad-core Intel Core i7-1165G7 processor at 2.8 GHz with 12 MB cache. Integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics share the 16 GB DDR4 system memory. A 256 GB NVMe M.2 SSD provides storage. The non-touch display shows 1920 x 1080 resolution with LED backlighting.

Thunderbolt 4 port limits

Two USB Type-C ports support Thunderbolt 4 for video, data and charging through a single cable. Two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports handle legacy peripherals. One HDMI port connects an external monitor. Wireless uses Intel Dual Band AX201 Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.2. No optical drive is fitted. The Grade B cosmetic rating means visible scratches or shiny keyboard areas are present.

256 GB NVMe storage fit

The 256 GB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD decides whether this unit suits the workload. Users who keep large local media libraries or multiple virtual machines will need more capacity. Buyers wanting a pristine exterior should look elsewhere because Grade B allows surface blemishes and minor screen marks. The soldered 16 GB DDR4 cannot be upgraded later.
