HP EliteBook 840 G8 business laptop

The HP EliteBook 840 G8 is a 14.0 inch business laptop built around an Intel Core i7-1165G7 processor with 64GB of memory and a 2TB SSD. It ships with Windows 11 Pro 64-bit and uses Intel Iris Xe integrated graphics. The non-touch display has a 1920 x 1080 resolution. This configuration suits professionals who need a portable workstation with ample memory and storage for demanding productivity workloads.

Installation and common issues

As a complete laptop there is no internal installation required; the unit is ready to use after the standard Windows 11 Pro setup. The 64GB memory and 2TB SSD are factory-fitted and not user-accessible for upgrades. Buyers who want to add internal storage later cannot do so because no additional drive bays or M.2 slots are exposed. The refurbished Grade A condition means cosmetic signs of use are minimal, but the battery is a wear item that will have reduced capacity compared with a new cell.

Deciding specification: 64GB memory and 2TB SSD

The single specification that determines whether this is the right part is the combination of 64GB memory and a 2TB SSD. This capacity pair supports heavy multitasking, large datasets and local virtual machines without relying on external drives. If your workflow needs more memory or storage than these figures provide, this laptop will not meet the requirement.
