The HP EliteBook 840 G9 is a refurbished 14-inch business laptop powered by a 10-core Intel Core i7-1255U processor with 12 MB cache. It comes with 16 GB of DDR5 4800 memory and a 512 GB PCIe SSD. Suits mobile professionals needing 16 GB DDR5.

This configuration suits professionals who need a portable 14-inch device with 16 GB of DDR5 memory and a 512 GB SSD for daily business applications. Buyers who require the maximum 32 GB memory capacity supported by the two available slots should consider a model configured with that amount or plan an immediate upgrade.

16 GB DDR5 4800 memory decides fit

The single specification that determines suitability is the installed 16 GB of DDR5 4800 memory across two slots with a 32 GB maximum. If your workload fits within 16 GB today, the laptop is ready; if you need the full 32 GB ceiling, you must add modules after purchase.

Questions about this item

Does the 14.0-inch 1920 x 1200 IPS panel fit a standard VESA mount or laptop stand clamp?

The 14.0-inch chassis uses a standard notebook form factor without VESA holes; it rests on any flat surface or laptop stand that accepts a 14-inch footprint.

What is the correct order to seat the two DDR5 4800 SODIMM modules so the 16 GB ships as dual-channel?

Insert the first module into the primary slot closest to the motherboard, press until the clips click, then repeat in the second slot; reversing the order leaves the system in single-channel mode.

When the 512 GB PCIe SSD reaches its write endurance limit, what replacement drive specification matches the original slot?

Replace it with any 2280 M.2 PCIe SSD; the slot supports the same physical and electrical interface used by the factory 512 GB drive.
