Compact Business Touch Laptop

The Lenovo ThinkPad X220 is a 12.5-inch touch-enabled laptop built for mobile professionals. It ships new with Windows 7 Professional 64-bit, an Intel Core i7-2640M processor, 8GB DDR3 RAM and a 2TB SSD. The HD display resolves at 1366x768 and supports pen input for precise annotation.

Sustained Workload Behaviour

The dual-core processor reaches a turbo frequency of 3.50 GHz for burst tasks while the shared video memory draws from the 8GB system pool. Under continuous load the Active Protection System and redesigned hinge maintain physical stability, and the industry-leading keyboard remains comfortable for long typing sessions. Thermal management relies on the chassis design rather than discrete graphics cooling.

Interface Practical Limits

Connectivity includes three USB ports, one VGA output and one DisplayPort for external monitors up to the panel's native resolution. The Gigabit LAN port and 802.11b/g/n wireless handle wired and wireless networking respectively. A single docking connector enables shared workspaces with compatible ThinkPad T, L and W series models.
