Business-ready 14-inch laptop with 128GB SSD

The HP EliteBook 840G1 ships with Windows 10 Home 64-bit on a 128GB solid-state drive and 8GB of DDR3 memory. Its Intel Core i5 4th Gen processor runs at 1.60GHz. The 14.0-inch non-touch screen suits mobile professionals who need a lightweight machine for office applications and web work.

Check memory ceiling and wireless needs before

The system offers two memory slots with a 16GB maximum, so plan any upgrade within that limit. Wireless support is 802.11a/b/g only; environments that require newer Wi-Fi standards will need an external adapter. Verify that your peripherals work with the available USB ports.

Sustained workloads stay responsive within thermal

Integrated graphics share system memory, so extended multitasking performance depends on the 8GB baseline and SSD speed. The original lithium-ion battery is tested to hold a charge, but runtime under continuous load will vary with screen brightness and background tasks.
