Ready-to-work 14-inch business laptop

The Lenovo ThinkPad T450 arrives with Windows 11 Pro installed on its 180GB SSD. An Intel Core i5-5300U processor running at 2.30 GHz and 8GB of DDR4 memory handle office applications and web browsing without delay.

Classic keyboard and integrated graphics

The spill-resistant ThinkPad keyboard and TrackPoint give precise input for long typing sessions. Intel HD Graphics 5500 drives the 1366 x 768 display and supports external monitors through the available video outputs.

Storage and memory ceiling

The 180GB drive fills quickly with large media libraries or virtual machines, so users who need more space must add a second drive. Soldered memory limits the system to 8GB, ruling out upgrades for heavier multitasking workloads.

Questions about this item

How many RAM slots does the ThinkPad T450 have for future memory upgrades?

The laptop uses DDR4 memory; the 8 GB installed may occupy one or both slots, so the number of free slots depends on the exact factory configuration.

What component reaches its thermal limit first during long workloads on the i5-5300U?

The dual-core 2.30 GHz processor and integrated HD Graphics 5500 share the same cooling system, so sustained multi-threaded tasks will hit the CPU thermal ceiling before the GPU.

How loud does the fan get when the T450 runs Windows 11 Pro all day?

Under continuous office use the cooling fan spins up audibly but remains at typical business-laptop noise levels; it becomes noticeable in a quiet room after several hours.
