Business-ready 14 inch laptop

The HP EliteBook 845 G8 combines a six-core Ryzen 5 PRO 5650U processor with 8 GB DDR4 memory and a 512 GB NVMe PCIe SSD. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed. It targets professionals who need a compact machine for office applications, video calls and light content creation on the move.

Thermals and power in daily use

Integrated Radeon graphics share system memory, keeping heat output modest during typical workloads. The 14.0 inch FHD LED panel runs at 1920 x 1080 resolution without a discrete GPU to add noise or power draw. Fan activity stays low for document editing and web browsing.

Chassis, ports and everyday connectivity

A silver aluminium chassis meets MIL-STD durability standards while weighing little enough for daily carry. Two USB-C 10 Gbps ports support power delivery and DisplayPort 1.4, alongside two USB-A 5 Gbps ports and one HDMI output. Wireless 802.11ac and Bluetooth 5 handle peripherals and networks, and a built-in webcam covers conferencing needs. Grade B cosmetic condition means visible scratches or shiny keys are present but function is unaffected.

Questions about this item

How do I add a second NVMe drive, and what is the step people miss?

This model has a single M.2 slot occupied by the 512 GB NVMe drive; adding a second drive is not possible without removing the existing one.

Which component will need replacement first under daily use?

The 8 GB DDR4 memory is soldered and cannot be upgraded; the 512 GB NVMe SSD is the only user-replaceable part and will likely need replacement when capacity runs out.

What limit appears first during sustained heavy workloads?

The six-core Ryzen 5 PRO 5650U shares system memory with Radeon graphics, so extended multi-threaded tasks are constrained by the fixed 8 GB RAM and thermal envelope of the thin chassis.
