Business laptop for office work

The HP EliteBook 850 G1 ships with Windows 10 Pro and an Intel i7-4600u processor backed by 8GB of memory. A 256GB solid-state drive holds the operating system and everyday files. The 15-inch panel shows 1366 by 768 pixels and is not a touchscreen. The unit arrives in Grade A cosmetic condition with a charger included.

Storage and memory headroom

The 256GB drive handles the OS, productivity suites and a moderate local archive without extra drives. Eight gigabytes of RAM keeps multiple browser tabs and office apps responsive for typical workflows. Heavy video editing or large virtual machines will exhaust both capacity and memory quickly. The configuration is fixed at the listed amounts.

Thermals, noise and power

The ultra-low-voltage i7-4600u runs cool during document work and web browsing, so fan activity stays low. Under sustained load the fan becomes audible but remains within normal office background levels. The supplied power adapter recharges the battery, which is rated in good condition, supporting several hours of unplugged use.
