Business laptop with 15.6-inch FHD display

The HP EliteBook 850 G2 is a 15.6-inch laptop with a 1920 x 1080 non-touch screen. It runs on an Intel Core i5-5200U dual-core processor at 2.20 GHz with a turbo frequency of 2.70 GHz. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 5500 handles visual output. The system includes 16GB DDR3 memory and a new 500GB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD with Windows 10 Pro 64-bit installed.

Memory and storage fixed at purchase

The memory is limited to 16GB DDR3 across two slots with no expansion possible beyond that total. The 500GB NVMe drive is the primary storage and there is no hard drive bay for additional capacity. Installation of the operating system is already completed, so the laptop is ready to use immediately. Buyers who need more memory or a second drive cannot upgrade this unit.

DDR3 platform limits modern workloads

The DDR3 memory and 5th generation processor architecture restrict performance with current applications and multitasking demands. The integrated graphics and PCIe storage interface provide baseline responsiveness for office tasks. Users requiring higher memory bandwidth, newer instruction sets, or discrete graphics acceleration will find the platform insufficient.
