HP EliteBook 850 G2 business laptop

The HP EliteBook 850 G2 is a 15.6-inch business laptop powered by an Intel Core i5-5200U dual-core processor running at 2.20 GHz with a turbo frequency of 2.70 GHz. It comes equipped with 16GB of DDR3 memory and a new 240GB 2.5-inch SATA SSD. The system ships with Microsoft Windows 10 Pro 64-bit pre-installed.

Upgrade from older hard-drive systems

Replacing a traditional mechanical hard drive with the included 240GB SSD dramatically reduces boot times and application loading. The jump is most noticeable when moving from a system with 4GB or 8GB of RAM to this 16GB configuration, allowing smoother multitasking with multiple browser tabs and office documents open simultaneously.

Suits office workers and students on a budget

This laptop suits professionals needing a reliable Windows 10 machine for email, document editing and web-based applications. The HD 1366 x 768 display and integrated Intel HD Graphics 5500 limit its appeal for creative professionals requiring colour-accurate screens or users wanting to play modern 3D titles. Buyers needing more storage or a higher-resolution panel should look elsewhere.
