Ports and expansion for a compact build

Two USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports handle peripherals and charging, while HDMI 1.4b connects an external monitor. A single RJ-45 jack provides wired Gigabit Ethernet via the Intel I219-V controller. The docking connector adds desktop expansion without using the USB ports, and a headphone/microphone combo jack covers audio needs.

Thermals and power in daily use

A 65-watt AC adapter charges the 3-cell 56 Wh Li-ion battery. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 keeps heat output modest during office tasks and video playback. Dual stereo speakers handle conference calls without external hardware. The chassis measures 14.57 x 9.91 x 0.72 inches and weighs 3.92 lbs.

Questions about this item

Will the 65-watt AC adapter keep the i7-8565U at full speed during long renders?

The 65-watt AC adapter supplies the rated power; sustained loads may trigger thermal limits before the adapter does.

How loud does the fan get when the 15.6" chassis runs the i7-8565U all day?

An external monitor or projector with an HDMI input and a standard HDMI cable.
