Business laptop for mobile professionals

The HP EliteBook 850 G7 pairs an Intel Core i5-10310U quad-core processor at 1.7 GHz with 16 GB DDR4 memory and a 512 GB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD. A 15.6 inch IPS panel delivers 1920 x 1080 resolution without touch input. Windows 11 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed, giving corporate users a familiar managed environment from first boot.

Thunderbolt 3 and HDMI expand desk options

Two USB 3.1 Type-C ports with Thunderbolt 3 support carry data, video and charging through a single cable to compatible docks or monitors. A full-size HDMI port adds a direct link to projectors or external displays without adapters. Intel AX201 Wi-Fi 6 (2x2) and Bluetooth 5 handle wireless connectivity, while a combo audio jack covers headset needs.

Grade B chassis shows honest wear

The silver aluminium frame carries visible scratches and surface marks consistent with the Grade B cosmetic rating; keys and palm-rest areas may appear shiny from prior use. The LCD panel is also Grade B, so minor blemishes or light pressure spots can be present. Ports include two USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A (one charging), the Thunderbolt 3 pair, HDMI and the audio jack, covering typical office and travel docking scenarios.

Questions about this item

Will the 512 GB NVMe SSD need replacement if I run heavy workloads daily?

The 512 GB NVMe drive is a standard M.2 module and can be swapped for a larger one if capacity becomes a limit.

What thermal limit appears first when the Intel Core i5-10310U runs at full load for hours?

The 15 W processor will hit its power ceiling before the cooling system saturates, so sustained clocks settle at the rated TDP.

How loud does the fan get and how hot does the chassis feel during an all-day work session?

Under continuous load the fan spins up to an audible but office-friendly level while the keyboard deck stays warm rather than hot.
