Questions about this item

Does the laptop need any extra hardware to use its two Thunderbolt 4 ports?

No. The ports are built into the EliteBook 850 G8 and work with any Thunderbolt 4 or USB-C device you connect.

Can I keep using my older USB-A peripherals with the two USB 3.2 Gen1 ports?

Yes. Both USB 3.2 Gen1 ports accept standard USB-A plugs so existing mice, keyboards and drives work without adapters.

How can I confirm the 15.6 inch 1920 x 1080 IPS panel is running at its native 60 Hz refresh rate?

Open Windows Settings, choose System then Display, select Advanced display and verify the refresh rate shows 60 Hz.
