Convertible business laptop

The HP EliteBook X360 1040 G8 is a 14'' touchscreen device built for mobile professionals. It runs on an Intel Core i7-1165G7 processor with 16GB of memory. A 512GB NVME drive provides fast storage for the operating system and active files. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed for enterprise environments.

Suited for flexible work, not heavy expansion

This convertible suits users who switch between laptop and tablet modes during the day. The 360 hinge supports presentations, note-taking and confined spaces like train tables. Buyers who need user-replaceable memory or multiple internal drives should look at a larger chassis. The sealed design limits internal upgrades after purchase.

Steady output within a thin chassis

Under sustained load the i7-1165G7 manages thermals inside the compact x360 body. The cooling system balances fan noise with processor clocks during long compiles or video exports. Performance settles at a consistent level rather than peaking briefly then throttling. Surface temperatures stay controlled for lap use during extended sessions.

Questions about this item

Will the 14-inch x360 touchscreen work with my existing USB-C dock and monitors?

The x360 hinge lets the 14-inch touchscreen fold flat for tablet use, while the laptop’s USB-C ports carry video and data to your dock and external displays.

Does the Intel Core i7-1165G7 and 16GB RAM handle the same workloads as my older 8th-generation laptop?

The i7-1165G7 with 16GB RAM delivers noticeably quicker multitasking and faster compile times than typical 8th-generation chips, so your existing projects will run smoother.

How can I confirm the 512GB NVME drive and Windows 11 Pro are performing correctly after first boot?

Open Task Manager to see the 512GB NVME listed as the boot drive and verify Windows 11 Pro is activated in Settings > System > Activation.
