Compact USFF desktop for home and study

The HP EliteDesk 705 G5 Mini is a new ultra-small-form-factor PC built around an AMD Ryzen 5 Pro 3400G processor with integrated Radeon Vega graphics. It ships with Windows 10 Pro, 16 GB of DDR4 memory and a 256 GB solid-state drive, targeting students and home-office users who need a capable system in minimal space.

Ready-to-use configuration with wireless built in

The bundled 16 GB of DDR4 memory and 256 GB SSD mean the machine can handle everyday multitasking and fast boot times straight from the box. Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed and Wi-Fi is included, so no extra networking hardware or operating-system setup is required before first use.

Lightweight chassis designed for flexible placement

At 2.7700 kg the unit is light enough to sit on a desk shelf, mount behind a monitor or tuck into a small cabinet without special brackets. Its USFF dimensions keep cable runs short and the system quiet in typical office environments, while the integrated Radeon Vega graphics drive displays through the available video outputs.

Questions about this item

Can the 16GB DDR4 memory be upgraded later if I need more capacity?

The system ships with 16GB DDR4; the mini chassis has limited internal slots so adding more memory may require replacing the existing modules rather than simply adding a stick.

What thermal limit appears first when the Ryzen 5 Pro 3400G runs at full load for long periods?

The compact USFF design relies on a small heatsink and fan, so sustained heavy workloads will hit the processor's thermal throttle point before the power limit is reached.

How loud does the fan get and how hot does the case feel during an all-day work session?

Under typical office loads the fan stays quiet and the chassis remains warm to the touch; continuous heavy compute raises fan speed and surface temperature noticeably but stays within normal operating range.
