Compact USFF desktop for office and study

The HP EliteDesk 705 G5 Mini is a new ultra-small-form-factor desktop built around a Ryzen 5 Pro 3400G running at 3.70 GHz with integrated Radeon graphics. It ships with 16 GB of DDR4 memory and a 256 GB SSD running Windows 10 Pro. The 2.77 kg chassis fits tight spaces and targets students or home-office workers who need a ready-to-use PC without a monitor.

Steady multitasking on integrated graphics

The 16 GB DDR4 allocation keeps multiple browser tabs, office suites and background services responsive during long sessions. Because the Radeon Vega graphics share system memory, sustained workloads stay smooth as long as the memory pool is not exhausted. The SSD provides quick boot and application launch times, while the USFF cooling handles typical office loads without throttling.

Check display outputs and wireless needs

The unit includes no wireless technology, so a wired Ethernet connection or a separate USB adapter is required for network access. Verify that your monitor matches the available video ports on the rear of the Mini before ordering. Buyers who need internal expansion slots, additional drive bays or a discrete graphics card should consider a larger form factor.

Questions about this item

How much fan noise and heat does the Ryzen 5 Pro 3400G generate in this USFF chassis during all-day use?

The compact USFF design keeps the system quiet for typical office tasks; sustained heavy workloads will increase fan speed and surface temperature.

Which display cables must I already own to connect a monitor to the HD Graphics output?

You will need a DisplayPort or HDMI cable matching your monitor's input, as the Mini provides those video ports.

Can I keep my existing DDR4 memory modules when upgrading this 16 GB system?

Yes, the board uses DDR4 slots, so compatible DDR4 sticks you already own can be added or swapped.
