EliteDesk 8 G1i mini business desktop

The HP EliteDesk 8 G1i is a compact business desktop built around an Intel Core Ultra 7 265T processor with 18 cores and a turbo frequency of 5.3GHz. It ships with 32GB of DDR5 memory and a 2TB NVMe SSD, running Windows 11 Pro out of the box. The mini form factor suits offices where desk space is limited but manageability and security features are required.

Fits standard peripherals and wired networks

A wired keyboard and mouse are included so the system is ready to use once a display is connected via HDMI, DisplayPort or Thunderbolt 4. Gigabit Ethernet and Wi-Fi 6E provide flexible network options without extra adapters. The 90W power supply is integrated into the chassis, freeing the desk from a separate external brick.

32GB DDR5 and 2TB NVMe headroom

Memory runs at 5600MHz and the board supports up to 64GB, allowing a future upgrade if workloads grow beyond the current 32GB. The 2TB NVMe drive holds large project files and local databases, while integrated Intel UHD Graphics handles everyday business apps and multi-monitor output. Heavy 3D rendering or GPU compute tasks will exceed the capabilities of the integrated graphics.

Questions about this item

Will the 90 W power supply limit the Core Ultra 7 265T from holding its 5.3 GHz turbo during long workloads?

The 90 W unit is sized for the 65 W base processor and typical business loads; sustained all-core turbo at 5.3 GHz may be throttled to stay within that envelope.

How loud and hot does the mini chassis get when the 18-core CPU runs flat-out all day?

The compact design relies on a single internal fan; under continuous load the fan spins audibly higher and exhaust air becomes noticeably warm, though it remains within HP Total Test and MIL-STD 810 limits.

Which display cables or adapters do I need to connect my monitors to the HDMI, DisplayPort and Thunderbolt 4 outputs?

The box includes only a wired keyboard and mouse; you must supply your own HDMI, DisplayPort or Thunderbolt 4 cables to drive any external screens.
