Compact AI desktop for business users

The HP EliteDesk 8 Mini G1i packs an Intel Core Ultra 7 265T processor with a 13 TOPS NPU into a 1 L chassis. It ships with 32 GB of DDR5-5600 memory, a 2 TB SSD and Windows 11 Pro. The integrated Intel Graphics handles everyday workloads and light content tasks.

Suitable for office deployments.

This mini PC suits organisations that want vPro manageability, Wi-Fi 7 connectivity and AI-accelerated productivity in a small footprint. Buyers who need a dedicated graphics card, multiple internal drive bays or user-replaceable expansion cards should look at a larger form factor.

13 TOPS NPU decides AI workload fit

The on-package neural engine delivers up to 13 TOPS for local inference, Copilot+ features and accelerated ISV tools. If your workflow relies on that level of on-device AI performance, this configuration matches the requirement; otherwise a standard CPU-only desktop may suffice.

Questions about this item

Will the single 32 GB DDR5-5600 MT/s module need replacing to reach higher memory capacity?

The system ships with one 32 GB DDR5-5600 MT/s module; adding a second module of the same specification will increase capacity without removing the original.

What thermal limit appears first when the Intel Core Ultra 7 265T runs at 5.3 GHz boost across all 20 cores?

The processor's 5.3 GHz turbo frequency on 20 cores is constrained by the 1 L chassis cooling capacity before any other component reaches its limit.

How loud is the fan and what is the power draw when the 13 TOPS NPU runs AI workloads continuously?

The ENERGY STAR certified 1 L chassis uses a low-profile fan that stays quiet under sustained NPU load while the 2.9700 lb unit draws only the power required for the 20-core processor and integrated graphics.
