HP EliteDesk 800 G2 RGB Gaming Desktop

This new small form factor desktop combines an Intel Core i5-6500 processor with 16GB DDR4 memory and a 512GB SSD. Windows 11 Pro comes pre-installed. An NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030 with 2GB GDDR5 handles graphics duties. The chassis features RGB front panel lighting and matching RGB keyboard and mouse are included.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

Buyers needing a ready-to-use PC for office work, school tasks, media streaming and lighter 1080p titles will find the spec balanced. The four-core CPU and dedicated GPU cover everyday multitasking and entry-level gaming. Users who want higher frame rates in modern AAA games, content creators needing more GPU memory or professionals requiring workstation-class graphics should consider a different system.

The deciding specification

The NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030 2GB GDDR5 graphics card defines the visual performance ceiling. It supports 1080p output via HDMI and DisplayPort and provides enough power for esports titles and older games at medium settings. Demanding 3D workloads or high-refresh competitive play will exceed its capabilities.
