Compact business desktop

The HP EliteDesk 800 G2 Tiny is a mini PC built for office environments. It uses an Intel Core i5-6500T processor with four cores running at 2.50 GHz up to 3.10 GHz. The system includes 16GB DDR4 memory and a 512GB solid-state drive. Windows 10 Professional comes pre-installed for immediate deployment.

Bundled input devices

A wired keyboard and wired mouse are included in the package so the unit is ready to use straight away. The BTO Wi-Fi adapter adds wireless connectivity without occupying a USB port. DisplayPort outputs support 4K displays for multi-monitor productivity setups.

Tool-free access

The Tiny chassis allows tool-free entry for memory or storage upgrades up to the 64 GB maximum supported capacity. Internal space is very limited so full-size expansion cards cannot be fitted. Buyers needing discrete graphics or additional drive bays should choose a larger form factor.

Questions about this item

Will the 16GB DDR4 memory need to be upgraded and what is the maximum capacity supported?

The system ships with 16GB DDR4 and the motherboard supports up to 64GB, so you can add modules later if workloads demand more memory.

What thermal limit appears first when the i5-6500T runs at its 3.10 GHz turbo for long periods?

The quad-core processor will hit its thermal ceiling and throttle clock speeds before the compact Tiny chassis can dissipate the sustained heat.

How audible is the fan and what power draw should I expect during all-day operation?

The small form factor relies on a single fan that spins up noticeably under continuous load, while the CPU draws significantly more power at 3.10 GHz than at its 2.50 GHz base frequency.
