HP EliteDesk 800 G2 Tiny Desktop PC

The HP EliteDesk 800 G2 Tiny is a compact desktop computer built for everyday productivity. It runs on an Intel Core i7-6700T processor reaching up to 3.60 GHz with 32GB of DDR4 memory. A 1TB SSD provides fast storage for the operating system and files. Windows 11 Professional comes pre-installed alongside a wired keyboard and mouse.

Ideal for Compact Workspaces.

This system suits buyers who need a space-saving PC for office applications, web browsing, and video playback in tight areas. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 530 handles standard display output but cannot meet the needs of users who require dedicated GPU performance for 3D rendering, modern gaming, or multi-monitor 4K workloads. Buyers who need internal expansion slots or user-replaceable graphics should look at larger form factors.

32GB DDR4 Memory Decides Multitasking Headroom

The 32GB DDR4 configuration is the specification that determines whether this desktop can keep many business applications and browser tabs open simultaneously without slowing down. If your workflow regularly exceeds this memory capacity, the fixed 32GB limit will become a bottleneck. For lighter workloads, this amount provides comfortable overhead for Windows 11 Professional and typical office suites.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 32GB DDR4 memory in the Tiny chassis, and what step do people get wrong?

The memory slots are inside the Tiny case; the step people miss is fully seating both SO-DIMM modules until the side clips click, otherwise the system will not recognise the full 32GB.

What maintenance or replacement will the 1TB SSD need later?

SSDs have no moving parts, so routine maintenance is not required; the drive will only need replacement if its write endurance is exceeded after many years of heavy use.

What limit appears first on the Intel HD Graphics 530 during sustained workloads?

The integrated GPU shares system memory and thermal headroom with the i7-6700T, so extended heavy rendering hits thermal throttling before the graphics core reaches its maximum frequency.
