Compact desktop for office tasks

The HP EliteDesk 800 G4 mini desktop fits behind a monitor or on a small desk. It ships with Windows 11 Pro and an Intel Core i5 8500T processor running at 2.1 GHz with a 3.5 GHz turbo ceiling. The 8 GB DDR4 memory and 256 GB NVMe SSD handle everyday business applications and web workloads.

Steady performance within a 65 W envelope

The 65 W internal power supply limits sustained draw, so the six-core CPU settles near its base frequency during long renders or large spreadsheet calculations. Intel UHD Graphics 630 drives dual-display output without a discrete card, keeping thermals predictable in the compact chassis.

8 GB DDR4 soldered and slotted configuration

Memory uses two 4 GB DDR4-2666 modules; the board offers no spare slots for expansion without removing existing sticks. Buyers who need more than 8 GB of RAM must replace the installed modules rather than add to them.

Questions about this item

How much power does the 65 W internal supply draw when the i5-8500T runs at 3.5 GHz all day?

The 65 W internal supply powers the i5-8500T at its 3.5 GHz Turbo Boost and the integrated UHD 630 graphics without an external brick.

Which display cables do I need to connect my own monitors to this mini desktop?

You must provide your own DisplayPort or HDMI cables; the unit has no bundled monitor or video adapters.

Will my existing DDR4-2666 SO-DIMMs work alongside the two 4 GB sticks already installed?

Yes, the board uses DDR4-2666 SO-DIMM slots, so matching DDR4 modules will run at 2666 MHz.
