HP EliteDesk 800 G5 Mini

This compact business desktop fits tight workspaces and VESA mounts behind compatible monitors. It runs Windows 11 Pro on an Intel Core i5-9500T with 16GB of DDR4 memory and a 256GB NVMe SSD. Buyers who need a full-size tower or discrete graphics card should look elsewhere.

Sustained 35 W six-core performance

The processor holds a 2.20 GHz base frequency with a 3.70 GHz boost ceiling inside a 35 W envelope, so output stays steady during long office sessions. Intel UHD Graphics 630 drives two DisplayPort outputs for dual-screen productivity without a separate GPU. Heavy rendering or gaming workloads exceed the integrated graphics capability.

Replaces aging tower fleets

The Mini form factor upgrades from bulky legacy desktops while keeping Gigabit Ethernet, six USB 3.0 ports and a front USB-C 3.0 port for peripherals. The jump is worth it when desk space, power draw and deployment speed matter more than PCIe expansion slots. Organizations needing internal drive bays or add-in cards will not be served by this chassis.

Questions about this item

How much power does the Intel Core i5-9500T 35W CPU draw when the EliteDesk 800 G5 Mini runs all day?

The Intel Core i5-9500T is a 35W processor with 6 cores and 6 threads, so sustained daily use stays within that thermal envelope inside the compact Mini chassis.

Which display cables and monitor inputs do I need to use the two DisplayPorts on this unit?

Two DisplayPort cables are required; the system provides Intel UHD Graphics 630 output through those ports, and no VGA adapter is included unless the specific unit ships with an extra VGA port.

Will my existing USB 3.0 peripherals work with the six USB 3.0 ports and the front USB-C 3.0 port?

Yes, all six rear USB 3.0 ports and the single front USB-C 3.0 port support existing USB 3.0 devices at full 3.0 speeds.
