Business mini desktop

The HP EliteDesk 800 G5 Mini is a compact business desktop built around a 2.2 GHz Intel six-core i5-9500T processor with 35W TDP and 9 MB cache. It ships with 8GB DDR4 memory, a 1TB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD, and Windows 11 Pro pre-installed and activated. The integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630 handles everyday office workloads without a discrete card.

Mounting and connectivity

The small chassis can be mounted behind a compatible HP EliteDisplay to save desk space. Air cooling keeps the 35W processor within thermal limits in the tight enclosure. Front access includes one USB-C 3.0 port, while the rear provides six USB 3.0 ports and at least two DisplayPort outputs. Gigabit Ethernet and an internal Wi-Fi card handle wired and wireless networking.

Integrated graphics and expansion limits

Intel UHD Graphics 630 supports typical productivity applications but is not suited for demanding 3D rendering or modern gaming titles. The mini form factor restricts internal expansion; there is no room for additional drive bays or add-in cards. Buyers who need more storage or discrete graphics should consider a larger chassis. Some units may include a third DisplayPort or a VGA port for legacy monitors.

Questions about this item

What speed does the NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD run at in practice?

The 1 TB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD uses the motherboard's PCIe lanes; real-world throughput is capped by the platform's PCIe 3.0 x4 limit.

What physical mounting options exist for the Mini chassis?

The Mini PC can be VESA-mounted behind a compatible HP EliteDisplay or secured with the optional HP Mini Desktop Mounting Bracket.

How is Windows 11 Pro activated on first boot, and what step is often missed?

Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed and pre-activated; connect to the internet during OOBE so the digital licence binds to the hardware automatically.
